Scatterbrained

(Written by Becky) I’m scatterbrained. I’m leaving England in two days. My life has been a bit insane here packing our things, shipping things, leaving my job…. I apologize for forgetting to update you in the last few days. Mom just got news of blood tests today. All her levels look good. Her white blood […]

Change of plans

(Written by Becky) Minutes after my update earlier today, I got a call that they discharged Mom from the hospital! They said that the blood clots look fine and she was responding quite well to the chemo. She’s so happy to be sleeping in her own bed tonight!

Chemo

(written by Becky) Because of some needed shots of vitamins and steroids, Mom didn’t get chemo on Thursday as planned. She got it yesterday, however. I just skyped with her and she looks great! She said she’s had very little side effects and is anxious to go home. She was walking around the room and […]

Tic-Tac-Toe

(Written by Becky) Mom is in surgery right now as I type getting a port installed for IVs so they don’t have to prick her every time. She’ll start chemo today. Please pray for our family? We are so scared, so weary. Please pray that Mom has very little side effects to the chemo. Please […]

Fogginess.

(Written by Becky) Dad asked me to post an update, but it’s hard to think clearly. We apologize for a few days’ absence from this blog, but we’ve been trying to survive. Just keeping our heads above water is just about all we can do some days. Mom is still in the hospital. She’s been […]

(Written by Becky) Your prayers are urgently needed again. Mom went to the Emergency Room this morning after coughing up small amounts of blood. It wasn’t alot, but enough to worry and go to the hospital. After a CAT scan, we were told she had multiple blood clots in her lungs and they are admitting […]

Cleared to fly

(Written by Becky) Mom’s doctor in Michigan cleared her to fly, so she’s coming home today! Johnny4 and Johnny5 (remember our number system because there’s so many Johns? Johnny4 is my brother and Johnny5 is my nephew) are picking Mom up because Dad is still an invalid!  But I’m not sure Mom will mind Dad […]

Update from Chris

I’m out of the hospital back at the Health Institute…these folks have been WONDERFUL.  I spent 3 nights in the hospital and didn’t have to go off my raw food/wheatgrass/detox diet – they brought my food to me!  How I praise God, I didn’t want to eat the hospital “dead” food and the toxic tap […]

We’ve just been handed a miracle.

(Written by Becky) “We’ve just been handed a miracle.” This was the title of an email Dad sent me yesterday after a chaotic exchange of phone calls back and forth between Michigan, New York and London. Remember a few weeks ago, we mentioned that the doctors needed to test tissue matter from Mom’s biopsy for […]

Chris

(Written by Becky) I just talked to Mom who is still in the hospital in Michigan. She’s going back to her retreat in a few hours and is just waiting for the doctor to make his rounds and sign-off on her discharge from the hospital. She says the pain in her leg and the swelling […]
