Answer to Prayer
I’m going to a retreat for 10 days! I found a 10 day program for health renewal, detox, immune system support – raw foods, juice, wheat grass, etc. The kind woman I talked with on the phone is a Christian, and she told me also the Director is as well. He also is a stage IV cancer survivor. I’ll be going next Thursday, June 2, and staying until Monday, June 13th. John will stay home to “hold down the fort” (probably would appreciate some company and offer for meals :). The place I’m going is called Creative Health Institute. www.creativehealthinstitute.com. As I go here and learn more about creating the best environment in my body to heal from within, we will be waiting for the DNA test results from tissue samples, to determine what the best course of chemo would be offered for my type of cancer. I have a followup appointment set with the oncologist (who doesn’t think diet makes a difference) when I return.
However, I am believing that I won’t need chemo – they will need to do another scan before starting any treatment and I am asking God to reveal HIS miracle to the doctors! Please pray with me that the 10 day retreat will be physically, emotionally and spiritually refreshing. I read this am in Mark 11:24. “Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” I have cried out to my Abba father, along with MANY others around the world who are praying for healing. I am standing on the promises of His Word – that “all the promises of God find their YES in him. This is why we utter our AMEN to God for HIS glory“. 2 Corinthians 1:20.
Prayer Requests:
1. Continued wisdom each day for decisions that we need to make.
2. Peace for my family as they trust God to take care of their wife/mother.
3. God’s complete Healing…that MANY would see His Goodness and be drawn closer to Him as they watch this miracle unfold. I am especially praying for the doctors and nurses that I’ve already had interaction with, that this would be a witness to them, and as Isaiah 35 says, “Then the eyes of the blind will be opened “. (35:5)
I thank each of you for your cards, emails, flowers – the many expressions of love that you are pouring out to me and my family. As soon as I can, I want to write you each a personal note….but until then, please accept this thank you and keep on praying!
Our God is an AWESOME God!

On a DVD titled “Confessions of an Elitist”, They gave some information for those fighting cancer. There is a high end hospital in Mexico called the International Bio Care Hospital that is the recipient of the Alivizatos cancer cure. Supposedly, this method has a nearly 100% success rate. Hi Chris,
We are soooooo glad you are going on retreat.It will give you a chance to rest in the Lord in a deeper way than you are able to at home. And rest you will as you learn everything you can about how to fight this horrible disease.
Gary and I lift you, John and the kids up daily. Know we are fighting with you in prayer. God will give you grace for the journey and He will be glorified in it! We pray that all of you will experience His peace, direction and wisdom in marvelous ways. We pray that the doctors you come into contact with will be amazed at the strength and power of our God to heal.
We love you and fight with you. Please let us know if there is anything at all we can physically do for you. I know that when Kristi was going through the depths of her chemo, it meant so much to know that God’s people were fighting the battle with us. We are fighting with you. May God grant you His peace. May you run into His arms daily and may He give you enough direction for each day. And may He remind you every moment that you are not alone.

We are so excited you are going away to think and pray and focus on yourself, being healthy and God! We hope you are thinking about leaving your computer behind and blocking out the world so you can just concentrate on God’s voice and no one else’s? I can’t wait to hear your thoughts when you get back!
