A RAY OF SUNSHINE!

(Written by Becky)

We’ve been holding our breath all day, unable to concentrate on much, while we wait for the phone call. The phone call to tell us if Mom’s cancer has spread to her brain or bones. We really need a small glimmer of hope right now – our spirits and emotions are low. This storm is like a dark cloud that just won’t pass.

And then we get a ray of sunshine.

Mom has NO cancer in her brain.

There are three bones that show some cancer, but it isn’t advanced and hasn’t weakened the structure of her bones or jeopardized her ability to carry her body. No surgery is needed. The bones are: her left arm between her elbow and shoulder, her pelvic area and her left femur bone in her leg.

We are so grateful to God for this bit of good news. Although the storm is still overhead, this ray of sunshine helps us remember who is in control.

Can I please ask a favor? PLEASE shower Mom and Dad with messages… regularly and often. They REALLY need it right now. And accept my thank you in advance because they can’t reply to every one but they do feel the love and it’s greatly needed.

A dear friend sent me this word today…

The Lord your God is with you,

He is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you,

He will quiet you with his love,

He will rejoice over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

I thank God for His WORD and for precious friends, and for this answer to my prayer as I was going through the MRI yesterday. My brain is clear! Thank you Jesus.

I love you Jesus, I run to you.
Love,
Chris

Chris, John and family; God is still and always will be on His throne. I read Becky’s note and immediately thought of this story about where Jesus calmed the sea. Luke tells us that the disciples were afraid, they awoke Jesus and then Jesus rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Jesus did that for you today! He rebuked the raging waves of cancer and told them no going to the brain. Thank you God for answering the many prayers for Chris! We will continue to pray and believe for the continued rebuking of “your raging waves”.

What great news. We will continue to pray for more good news. We love you Chris and John.

You are never far from our thoughts and prayers, Chris and John. We’re glad to hear the cancer hasn’t spread to your brain. A little ray of sunshine in a mostly cloudy and gloomy sky, I know, but I also know Jesus is right there with you through it all. May you continue to “be a planting of the Lord for the display of HIS splendor.” Isaiah. He chooses some mighty strange ways to display His glory, but we know He’s doing it in you right now. May His peace rule in your hearts.

Good Evening Dear Friend,
Glad to hear the news about the MRI. You are still continually in my thoughts and prayers. Keep looking to Him. He is the author and finisher of our faith. So glad to know that He knows and sees the whole picture.

Hallelujah!! I prayed so hard for you the night before and the day of and praise God he answered!! We love you and will continually lift you before him. Jer. 29:11. :)

Chris, John & Becky, Johnny
You are all in my prayers and heart daily.
I will stop to see you Chris the next time I am in Schenectady. Your strength is an encouragement to all daily.
Love
Judy

Praying for you all. We thank God with you for this good news, and are praying for your upcoming appointment at Sloan. Thanks again for sharing your journey and your hope. God is our ROCK even though circumstances, people and our feelings are constantly changing. II Samuel 22:29-33

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Jesus, for hearing our pleas for Chris’ MRI results. It IS indeed a ray of sunshine… a BIG one! Just like today after days of rain and gray clouds, the sun (Son) started peeking thru the gray and lifted my spirit! “I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving.” (ps 69:30-31)

Hi Chris & John,
Great news about no brain cancer! We will continue to pray for you @ home & @ our Bible study group.

Love,
Duane G.

Chris & John, Becky & Johnny,
This is truly GREAT news! We are praying for you daily. I share below what was in my heart for you these past few days.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

We are all standing on the solid Rock with you Chris
~ Blessings
Karen
