Family
(Written by Becky)
I’m flying back to England later today and it’s so hard to leave. And although it doesn’t take all the pain away, it helps a bit to bring this with me. At family dinner last night, Dad presented all of us with these necklaces of a family tree to wear every day to remind us that we are in this fight together. On the back of the family tree, it’s inscribed “A Family’s love is nature’s masterpiece.” We all committed to wearing this necklace every day until Mom gets better. (Yep, Dad’s wearing a necklace now!)
Please keep praying for my family. I don’t think we’ve actually processed this nightmare – it’s still so hard to believe.

P.S. Added later: here we are for one last photo before I go to the airport: Mom, Dad, Johnny4 and Johnny5 and me.

Becky, I pray for peace for you as you head back home. I don’t know what I love more, the necklace itself and what it stands for or the fact that your Dad is wearing it!

That is such a sweet idea. I believe family is the unit created by God for all sorts of wonderful reasons: to bring into being the next generation, to raise them up and teach them about Him, to work together so support each other, financially, physically and emotionally. Satan attacks families and many families are not what God would have them be, as a result. But it’s a beautiful thing when families function the way God designed. The Richmond family is an example to the rest of us.
We are continuing to pray!

Becky, It’s been WONDERFUL having you here for these last 10 days, and as you head back home, I will pray that my Jesus covers you with HIS love and comfort. He has blessed you with a very special husband – run into his arms and draw close to each other and to God. I will sit on my back porch and LOVE the flowers you planted and all your gifts of love to your “mama”. I love you so much and thank God for you. And, we can skype every day, and you will be back soon! (and this time with Keith! (YEA!) I”m looking forward to a great two week vacation with you both in July. We’ll have a blast. Go in God’s peace….He is in charge!

That is sweet. Please know that I will be praying for you. I know how hard it is to be away from a parent when they are so sick. You feel very helpless. Remember that we as a YFC family will do all we can to make this journey easier for your mom and dad. Love you.

Becky, you haven’t left, just as Jesus has never left his beloved. Setting up this Blog, is one sure example of this. I pray this time becomes special in that you develop a deeper and more intimate relationship with your spirit , the same spirit in all born again believers, baptized in the holy spirit….yours, your moms, all of us…so one third of you is always here, always on, and absolutely perfect! Now, the soul and body of Becky will meet up with her “fam” again soon, but in the meantime sweet Jesus help her to continually renew her mind to receive peace and comfort and strength in this trial. oo xx Auntie Jen
